AKA: Emerging Life
It is spring. It is SPRING. The cherry blossoms, the dogwoods, the intoxicating spring green, the birds singing and yes…..the sound of lawn maintenance (not my favorite sound).. It is here, in all its glory. We have changed seasons and we are in the midst of this new life emerging from every corner.
I was on a run in the park this past weekend, enjoying the sights of spring while tromping along...the leaves, the blossoms, the birds. I noticed a woman, dancing her way down the trail, I noticed the kids playing by the creek, the folks playing frisbee in the park, the couples relaxing in hammocks. I took my shoes off at the end of my run and stuck my feet in the deliciously cold water and it felt oh so good.
There was a whole different energy, a whole different feeling in the park this past weekend. The joy at the change and the new life emerging was palpable.
I was thinking as I noticed that change, about how sometimes it's hard to find joy in change in our own lives, in our own situations. But perhaps this week we can find a little more joy in the change, in the emerging life. Perhaps we can notice those small, joyful tidbits, we can see them a little more clearly and carry them with us.
Can we find a little more joy in our lives this week dear friends?
I hope you have an amazing week, I am so very thankful for each of you!
