An evening of Slow Flow and Yin Yoga

Grab a couple of couch cushions and a blanket and relax into a slow flow + Yin practice with Krista. All you need is yourself and a few household props to find relaxation and soothing through your body and your nervous system. This 75 minute practice will leave you calm, relaxed, and ready to ease into your weekend. We all need a little more ease in our lives right now, and Slow Flow + Yin Yoga is a beautiful way to find that ease.
We will start with a 30 minute slow flow to warm our body a bit, then we will settle into a 45 minute Yin practice to ease into our weekend. Yin Yoga helps bring balance to our overly busy lifestyles. It is a contemplative practice of long, passive holds (generally 3-5 minutes) in specific floor postures to nourish the joints and ligaments of our body while emphasizing and deepening into the breath throughout the practice. These asanas gently strengthen and rehabilitate the connective tissues that form our joints, allowing us to maintain and restore joint flexibility. This practice helps to bring balance to both our lives and our more active yoga practices. Yin Yoga also allows us to become more present, allowing us to draw “within” ourselves and quiet our mind and body. As we find that quiet acceptance in our postures, we can also find this acceptance spilling out into our life.
Practice is FREE for all, feel free to invite friends and ease into your weekend!
