Circle Yoga Classes
Yoga Level 1/2
Building on the foundation of Level 1 classes, Yoga Level 1-2 includes more postures for the advanced beginner and some preparations for a Level 2 practice. Level 1-2 classes typically emphasize building strength and endurance in postures, refining alignment, and working with more challenging variations on basic postures. Level 1-2 is designed for continuing students who have taken Level 1 classes and who are familiar with basic standing and seated poses. Level 1-2 is not intended for students who are new to yoga.
Yin Yoga uses gentle and long-held poses to target the body's connective tissue (tendons, ligaments, and fascia). It gently and safely enhances the pliancy of our joints within our natural range of motion, and can help liberate the body's chronic holding patterns. With its slow and meditative pacing, a Yin practice naturally draws the mind inward into a relaxed and reflective state, where awareness can be brought to postural, breath and thought patterns. This class is suitable for novice practitioners and weekend warriors alike. You'll walk out of each session feeling like you've just enjoyed a deep tissue massage!
Total Body Fitness
Total Body Fitness is a dynamic, full-body workout that will leave you feeling energetic and strong. In this fast paced and fun class, we combine strength building exercises with balance, core work, flexibility, and a little bit of cardio--all while ensuring that we are keeping our bodies safe with the correct form throughout the class. We work hard, we sweat, we have a great time, and we always end with a little bit of much-deserved relaxation. We use a variety of props including hand weights or sandbags, and we use a lot of our own body weight to provide resistance too! Total Body Fitness has a similar structure throughout the session, while also changing week to week to keep our bodies guessing and our stamina growing. Because this class is higher intensity and faster paced, it is not appropriate for students with injuries, special conditions, or significant balance issues.
Balanced Athlete Classes
Our cycling class is pure--no gimmicks, dancing or weight-lifting on the bike. This fun, 50-minute metabolism-boosting class is backed by invigorating music. After a full body warm-up, you’ll be pushed through a challenging 40 minute ride while focusing on proper form and alignment. You’ll sweat, you’ll dig deep, and you’ll enjoy the ride! You’ll reduce the “imprint” cycling leaves on your body through a cool down specifically designed to open your chest and engage your back. You’ll leave class feeling energized and upright! Athletic or cycle shoes required. Heart rate monitors can be worn to track progress.
Appropriate for all fitness and riding experience levels
